USAI Lighting has achieved the Declare digital label for many of our product families. This digital label allows us to disclose the ingredients we use in our light fixture families to demonstrate they are approved for use in Living Building Challenge projects. Please refer to the Declare Labels on this page & the Declare Guide for product details and listings.

What is Declare?

  • Declare is a nutrition label for building products. It is designed to help specifiers quickly identify products that meet their project requirements.
  • Declare shows customers that our product is one that they can trust. This two-in-one label makes complex information approachable and useful, provides manufacturers with a robust structure to share product data, and saves designers time. Learn more about Declare.
  • The Declare label is the only label that screens products against the Red List, a list of the worst chemicals in terms of their toxicity to our planet and to people.
  • The International Living Future Institute (ILFI) is a global nonprofit organization that operates the Living Building Challenge (LBC), a performance standard for healthy and sustainable buildings. The ILFI manages the Declare label platform and product approvals for LBC projects. Visit the ILFI website.
