Dimming and Color Control

USAI Lighting's patented color technologies enable the color temperature of the light source to shift from a warm candlelight-like 2200K to a number of different higher color temperatures: Warm Glow Dimming reaches 2700K, 3000K or 3500K at the high end,  and Color Select reaches all the way to a 6000K that looks like natural daylight. The main difference between these technologies is that in the case of Warm Glow, the color shift is tied to the dimming: that is, the color shifts as you dim, reaching 2200K at the minimum light level output. In the case of Color Select, the light source output and the color temperature of the source can be varied independently - enabling much greater flexibility. In order to make this possible, Color Select requires that an extra set of 0-10V dimming lines be connected for each fixture: see spec sheets for wiring diagrams and more details.  All USAI Lighting color technologies are available with a wide range of dimming options, as shown in the lists below.


USAI LIGHTING DIMMING WITH COLOR TECHNOLOGIES

Warm Glow Dimming
DIML2: Our standard 0-10V dimming driver option provided standard with all Warm Glow  dimming technologies and dims down to 10% at minimum light level.

DIML3: Our Lutron Hi-Lume 2-wire forward-phase dimming driver option is available with BeveLED Mini Warm Glow and dims down to 1% at minimum light level. It is for 120V use only. 

DIML4: Our Lutron Hi-Lume 3-wire / EcoSystem dimming driver option is available with all Warm Glow dimming technologies and dims down to 1% at minimum light level.

DIML6A: Our EldoLED 0-10V dimming option is available with all Warm Glow dimming technologies. This option is programmed for logarithmic response to be compatible with Lutron control systems and dims down to 0.1% at minimum light level.

DIML6B: Our EldoLED 0-10V dimming option is available with all Warm Glow dimming technologies. This option is programmed for linear response to be compatible with standard dimming control systems and dims down to 0.1% at minimum light level.

DIML7: Our EldoLED DALI dimming driver option is available with all Warm Glow  dimming technologies and dims down to 0.1% at minimum light level.

Color Select
