TTX Company, a leading provider of railcars and freight car management services to the North American rail industry1, recently relocated their corporate headquarters to The Line in Charlotte's South End. Gensler's Charlotte office designed the two-floor office space, which includes a dedicated cafe and training facility. CBRE Project Management oversaw the upfit. USAI Lighting collaborated with these partners and general contractors at Shelco to provide lighting solutions for the space2.

The exposed concrete ceilings, with visible ductwork, suspended conduit, and metal grid detailing, presented specific lighting considerations. USAI Lighting's BeveLED Mini Cylinder pendants were selected for the pendant lighting. The BeveLED Mini Cylinder's conduit cutout canopy allowed surface mounted or suspended conduit to pass through the luminaire, simplifying installation and contributing to a cleaner installation. The smooth, modular solid and keyhole slots, interchangeable and user-configurable, allowed for on-site customization. BeveLED 2.2 Complete recessed 4.5" downlights provided general illumination in areas where recessed lighting was used. BeveLED 2.2 Complete Trimless Acoustical downlights integrated with pre-cut Armstrong ceiling panels.
